Anyone else first read this when it was brand new in the 2000s and still take another decade or two to realise they were trans fem? ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

I remember waiting restlessly for each update of this back in the day!!

Nostalgia! It's been so long since I've read this.

Though I remember seeing another story by the same author with a goth girl. I think it also had this GENTLEMANLY Mexican guy. Though I can't recall much else. Anyone remember know if it's available somewhere?

Wasn't there a prequel to girly? can i pick that up anywhere? i read girly as a teen and never read it for some reason.

It was called "CuteWendy" and started out as a stupid gag-a-day version/self-parody of Jackie's then main project "Wendy" (about which we will never speak again). Unlike Girly, it was mostly random humour with very little continuity, so storywise you're not really losing anything, but it was very funny. It's not online anymore but was printed a couple of times, you might get lucky on Wob or eBay or Allibris or something.

O MY GOD I'M SO HAPPY this comic turned me gay

I just went looking for this comic to reread it, and when I saw the original site seems to be gone, my first thought was "aw man, it's probably still up somewhere but I wish I could just buy a copy to be sure I wouldn't lose it." So this is perfect! This comic is so funny (the final payoff for the subplot with Chupacabra's brothers killed me) and the serious dramatic beats with the main relationship are really sweet. Thanks for keeping it available!

One of my all time favorite comics growing up! The art style is super unique and you can really see the author grow with each page and has an AMAZING sense of humor and great story telling with Lady Leads. It left such an impact on me and I believe it'll leave an impact on anyone reads it.
